Payment Options

LUS offers several convenient ways to pay your utillity bill, as detailed below. Accepted payment types are cash, check, money order and automatic bank draft. The LUS online and phone payment systems accept credit and debit cards.

Online

Pay your bill online, at any time of the day or any day of the week.  You can use your credit or debit card featuring the Visa, Mastercard, or Discover logo, or an "e-check" payment, which drafts from your designated checking account (commercial customers who pay by check are limited to payments of no more than $1,500).

 

Paperless Billing 

Receive an email each month (as opposed to a paper bill in the mail) stating the amount and due date of your bill.  You can then choose to click on the link to pay your bill online or call (337) 291-8280 to make a payment over the phone.

Automatic Bank or Credit Card Draft

Have your utility bill paid automatically each month from your checking or savings account, or by credit card.

Download and print the following Automatic Draft Authorization form or call LUS Customer Service at (337) 291-8280 to receive a form by mail. Return your completed form and voided check via mail to the address on the form or by visiting one of the LUS Customer Service Centers (addresses below).

You will continue to receive your monthly LUS utility bill showing your consumption level(s) and charge(s) for your records.

If you wish to stop the automatic drafting of your account, or, if you have any changes in utility account number, checking account number or banks, please report these changes immediately to the LUS Accounting Division by calling (337) 291-8223 in order to allow sufficient time to process these changes.

 

Phone

Call (337) 291-8280 to make your next payment by phone using a credit or debit card featuring the Visa, Mastercard, or Discover logo. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payment will be posted to your account in real-time.

 

 

Mail

Send in your payment, using the convenient return envelope included with your bill.  Here are some things to keep in mind when you mail in your payment:

  • Do not mail cash.
  • Sign your check.
  • Include your LUS account number on check.
  • Include your payment stub (the bottom portion of your bill) with your payment.
  • DO NOT staple, fold, or paper clip your payment stub to your payment.
