Connect Service

To connect your Lafayette Utilities System service, simply call (337) 291-8280 or visit one of our Customer Service Centers and a LUS representative will assist you. We ask that you request service at least one business day in advance to assure timely connection.

Connect Service Checklist:

  • Social Security Number
  • Driver's License Number
  • Address to be Connected

Disconnect Service

Should you move outside of the LUS service area and need to disconnect your service, simply call (337) 291-8280 or visit our Customer Service Center and a LUS representative will assist you. We ask that you request to be disconnected at least one business day in advance of your move.

  • Account Number (or verficiation of account information)
  • Forwarding Address

Transferring Service

In the event that you need to transfer your LUS service to another location within the LUS service area, the process is simple. Call (337) 291-8280 or visit our Customer Service Center and a LUS representative will assist you.

Transfer of Service Checklist:**

  • Account Number (or verify account information)
  • Current Address
  • New Address
  • Date of your move

** All outstanding utility charges must be paid in order to transfer service.

LUS will make the service transfer on the date you have specified.
