Community involvement is an important aspect of the LUS tradition. Lafayette Utilities System is involved in many volunteer organizations, donating both employee time and in-kind services. Our goal is to partner with organizations and activities that make our community a better place to live and work, and better the future of our children.

The Share the Light program, March of Dimes WalkAmerica campaign, and United Way of Acadiana campaign are all ways that LUS gives back to the community.

Also, by offering in-kind services, LUS is able to "light the way" at several festivals.
