Home Energy Audit

On-site Home Assesment

Did you know LUS offers in-home energy assesments, at no cost to our residential customers? Our Utilities Conservation Specialist is certified in finding areas of the home where energy may be wasted and can provide recommendations to help you fix those problem areas and decrease your monthly energy costs.

Homeowners must be present during the survey, which can take 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the home. To request an on-site assesment, send your name, address and phone number to askus@lus.org.

Do-It-Yourself Energy Audit

If you would prefer to do your own assesment using a free online tool, the U.S. Department of Energy's Home Energy Saver can help you do just that. The application is designed to help consumers identify the best ways to save energy in their homes, and find the resources to make the savings happen. The Home Energy Saver quickly computes a home's energy use and provides information to help users estimate how much energy and money can be saved and how much pollution can be prevented by implementing energy-efficiency improvements.
